Hi there! I'm Dani!

Thank you so much for visiting my site!

I’m a writer, photographergamer, music lover, movie watcher, and tackle hugger

Here at DHF, each story (Supernatural/Fantasy/Drama/Thriller) contains

some aspect of romance. What can I say? I just LOVE love!

I strive to take my readers through all the twists and turns that come with the emotional states of love and loss, but I also want to make people laugh and allow them to escape reality for a little while.

I am currently working on a new story and hope to have it released some time in 2024 if all goes according to plan, so be sure to check back to see when new titles are being released!

Some material (now or in the future) may contain violent/torturous descriptions and/or adult related themes, which would be inappropriate for younger readers. Please be sure to check the description and rating before purchasing.

Me, Myself, and I...

This is the part where I talk about myself *cue the awkward silence and shifty eyes lol*, which is always weird because I never really know what to say...so I'm just gonna put a few things down for those who care to know some little random facts about me. Who knows, we may have something in common! Wanna be friends? Huh? DO YA? *Okay, walking away now lol*

Randomness:

~ I can't stand shaking hands; I'd rather hug people...aaaaaand I may or may not own a "Free Hugs" t-shirt that I happily wear out in public :)

~ With that being said, I have pretty high social anxiety (especially in crowds), so if I'm ever standoff-ish, please don't take it personally, I'm probably just trying not to freak out and/or have a panic attack lol

~ I love listening to people talk who have accents.

~ My favorite color is blue (all shades), yet I usually only wear black, because that is super important to know lol

~ I was born and raised in sunny, southern Florida; and my birthday is October 14th.

~ I'm fairly short (around 5'5" or about 167cm).

~ I enjoy playing video games, such as: EverQuest 2, Sims, Zelda, Mario, Dead Island/Riptide, State of Decay, Lego games, Dark Cloud, Fable III, Terraria, Stardew Valley, My Time At Portia, Viscera Clean Up, House Flipper, etc ...this says a lot about me doesn't it? lol

~ I have become obsessed with certain anime: Fruits Basket, Blue Spring Ride, Say I Love You, Bleach, Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and Dororo just to name a few. Plus the best anime movie ever made, A Silent Voice.

~ If I really love a movie, song, or book...I will watch, listen, or read it over and over again for days, weeks, or months.

~ Sometimes I daydream about my books getting turned into movies, then I become a one-woman-show and act like I'm interviewing myself at some red carpet premiere ha *sigh* Don't judge me lol

~ And speaking of my books, it may sound silly, but the hardest question that I've been asked is: "What is your book about?"

That should be the easiest thing ever to answer since I'm the author though, right? Wrong! lol

For some reason, I turn into a babbling idiot and stutter through a reply of: "Um, well, ya see. It's about this guy and this girl, who..." So, instead of putting myself through all that, I have decided to start quoting the synopsis from the back cover. Crisis averted! *fingers crossed*

Q & A:

Q: Where do your story ideas come from?

A: Honestly, I dream about everything that ends up in my books. Or if I'm lacking inspiration, I will listen to music and try to imagine certain scenes in my head that go along with the lyrics. Instrumental music helps a lot too.

Q: Are any of your characters based on people you know in real life?

A: Yes and no. Sometimes the personality of a character is based on someone I know, or a certain scene or conversation will be something I really experienced. But as for the story lines themselves, no. Those are all fiction.

Q: Where/How did you come up with the ideas for each of your book covers?

A: It all comes back to my dreams. I wanted each cover to give a small glimpse into each story, and at the same time pull the reader in by its unique look. I was fortunate enough to work with some exceptional artists. They were able to take a few descriptive sentences and transform them into the vision in my head...usually surpassing it.

Q: Do you mind if your readers reach out to you to discuss your books, or just to talk?

A: Not at all! I love hearing feedback and making new friends. If someone sends me a message via my website or facebook, I try to reply as soon as I can. I do the same for any reviews posted on Amazon.

Q: Will you ever have any merchandise related to your books available for purchase, like posters or bookmarks, etc?

A: It's definitely something I've thought about. So, I will just go ahead and say that it's a good possibility. Supply and demand haha.
